Cody C. Sticker is headed to state prison after he admitted Wednesday in Schuylkill County Court that he robbed a convenience store in Schuylkill Haven and a truck stop in Tremont Township on the same day in August 2015.

Sticker, 23, of Pottsville, must serve 3 1/2 to eight years in a state correctional institution, Judge John E. Domalakes ruled.

Domalakes also sentenced Sticker, pursuant to an agreement between prosecutors and the defendant, to pay costs, $1,025 in fines, $100 to the Substance Abuse Education Fund, $100 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $400 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, perform 10 hours community service and submit a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.

Sticker pleaded guilty to robbery, terroristic threats, possession of prohibited offensive weapon, prohibited possession of offensive weapon, theft and recklessly endangering another person in one case; robbery, discharge of firearm into occupied structure, simple assault, terroristic threats, theft and recklessly endangering another person in a second; and driving under the influence and no rear lights in a third.

Prosecutors withdrew a third count of robbery, two counts of receiving stolen property and one count each of criminal mischief, harassment and improper turning movements.

State police at Schuylkill Haven filed the first two sets of charges against Sticker.

In the one case, they alleged Sticker was DUI with drugs in his system on July 23, 2015, in Pine Grove Township.

In the other, they alleged he fired a shotgun through the door of the Raceway Truck Stop, 10 Molleystown Road, about 2:35 a.m. Aug. 29, 2015. Police said Sticker kicked in the remaining glass in the door, threatened to shoot the clerk, Harmush Singh, 62, of Pine Grove, and stole $500.

Schuylkill Haven borough police filed the third case, charging Sticker with using a sawed-off shotgun to rob the Turkey Hill on West Columbia Street (Route 443) about 4 a.m. Aug. 29, 2015. Sticker took $253 from the store, police said.

During Wednesday’s plea hearing, Sticker said little except that he understood the meaning and consequences of his plea and was entering it knowingly and voluntarily.
