n Frackville: The Frackville Fireworks Committee has announced that the annual fireworks display will be held at dusk on July 3 at the sports complex on High Street. Letters seeking donations have been sent to local residents and businesses. Anyone who did not receive a letter but would like to contribute should forward donations to the committee at P.O. Box 403, Frackville, PA 17931.

n Mahanoy City: A pork-and-sauerkraut dinner is set for 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Good American Hose Company, Eighth Street and Mahanoy Avenue. The cost is $9 per meal and patrons may eat at the firehouse or take meals out. For more information or to order, call 570-773-3473.

n Mahanoy City: The Mahanoy City Public Library is sponsoring a fundraiser trip to Mohegan Sun Casino on May 24. The cost is $23 with a $25 slot rebate and $5 food voucher. The bus will leave at 9 a.m. from the former Service Electric parking lot and depart from the casino at 4 p.m. for the return trip. n Millersburg: The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art is in “immediate need” for volunteers to help at the center’s gift shop, according to a press release. “As a nonprofit organization, the center relies heavily on the help of volunteers to keep the facility running.” People interested should call 717-692-3699 or email to info@nedsmithcenter.org.

n Minersville: Mountaineer Hose Company, Third and South streets, will have a breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to noon Sunday at the firehouse, featuring an open menu, according to a release. All are welcome.

n New Ringgold: Christ Church McKeansburg will stage a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 30 at the church, 1751 Chestnut St. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $4.25 for children. n Pine Grove: A free CPR Heartsaver AED class offered in memory of Dale Herb and William Blain and sponsored through the Pine Grove Ambulance Association will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Skills covered will be taught according to 2015 American Heart Association guidelines, according to a press release. n Primrose: The St. Nicholas Holy Name Society will sponsor an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Nicholas Hall, Route 901. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children.

n Saint Clair: Knights of Columbus Council 14009 will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church Hall, 250 E. Hancock St. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 10. For more information, call 570-429-2568.

n Schuylkill Haven: The Diakon Community Center, 340 Haven St., will have a session on the importance of breakfast at 9 a.m. Thursday. There is no charge. The Diakon senior community centers in the county, according to a release, are inviting the public to breakfast and to hear about the value of the meal. Diakon will have the breakfast at 9 a.m. May 3 at the Shenandoah Senior Community Center, 116 N. n Tamaqua: An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 E. Broad St. People 17 and older (16 with parental consent), weighing at least 110 pounds and in general good health are urged to donate blood.
