A 30-year-old man charged with having images of child pornography in his Tower City apartment last year is among those scheduled to plead not guilty Thursday during arraignment in Schuylkill County Court.
Jordan S. Astrove, formerly of 345 E. Colliery Ave., Apt. 3, and currently an inmate at State Correctional Institution/Frackville, was arrested by state police Trooper Mark Knock of the Schuylkill Haven station and charged with sexual abuse of children-child pornography.
Knock said he received a report from a state parole agent on March 13, 2015. who said that Astrove, a registered sex offender, had multiple cellphones in his possession, which violated his sexual offender registration, and that the phones contained images of sexual acts involving children.
A subsequent search warrant executed at the man’s Tower City apartment turned up various electronic devices, tablets and cellphones included, that had images of nude children performing actual or simulated sexual activites, Knock said.

Vincent W. Bloss, 21, of 200 Main St., Gilberton — driving under the influence of drugs and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Robert J. Komosinsky, 38, of 114 Hazle St., Box 151, Delano — DUI and DUI-high rate.
Kyle Brankovich, 38, of 16 W. Centre St., Apt. 2, Ashland — DUI, DUI-highest rate, driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to be licensed and restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
Bruce J. Layton, 25, of 21 Rapp Road, Girardville — possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, stop and yield sign violations, driving an unregistered vehicle and reckless driving.
Gary M. Yenilaitus, 26, of 300 S. St. Peter St., Schuylkill Haven — DUI-high rate, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
Albert C. Dumboski, 36, of 1811 Market St., Ashland — DUI, DUI-high rate, general lighting requirements violation and failure to drive on roadways laned for traffic.
Allen J. Zimmerman, 31, of 228 N. Nice St., Frackville — driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
