The six semifinalists for the Schuylkill County Junior Idol VIII competition were announced Wednesday. The following contestants will move onto the next round: Jacqueline Bubnis, 13, of Shenandoah; Jordan Shoffler, 15, of Shenandoah; Ariel Stanalonis, 14, of Frackville; Raven Wesley, 14, of New Ringgold; Carmyn Carduff, 15, of Shenandoah; and Sydney Stokes, 13, of Ashland.
The next round of competition is 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Schuylkill Mall, Frackville.
The contest continues every Tuesday until a winner is announced Feb. 9. The event is sponsored by Pepsi, the Frackville Rotary, Totally Twisted Pretzel and Rebekah’s Creations.
