A Girardville woman returned to prison Tuesday after a Schuylkill County judge revoked her probation and parole.
Kelsey Anderson, 23, could remain behind bars until Jan. 24, 2017, Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin ruled. Dolbin also ordered Anderson to spend an additional six months on probation after completing her imprisonment.
Anderson admitted violating her probation and parole by failing to report to her supervising officer, moving without permission, using heroin and not making payments on her costs and fines.
She originally pleaded guilty on Nov. 12, 2014, to two charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, with prosecutors withdrawing a charge of disorderly conduct. At that time, Dolbin placed her on probation for 18 months, and also sentenced her to pay costs, $200 to the Substance Abuse Education Fund and $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account.
Dolbin revoked her probation and parole on May 22, 2015, and sentenced her to serve two to 12 months in prison and an additional six months on probation.
Tamaqua police filed both charges against Anderson, alleging she possessed paraphernalia on May 2, 2014, and again on May 16, 2014, both times in the borough.
Also in the county court, Judge James P. Goodman on Friday revoked the parole of Michael D. Collins, 25, of Pottsville, but immediately reparoled him.
Collins originally pleaded guilty on Sept. 25, 2013, to theft, with prosecutors withdrawing a charge of receiving stolen property. Goodman placed him on probation for 23 months and also sentenced him to pay costs, a $50 CJEA payment and $3,000 restitution, and submit a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.
Pottsville police charged Collins with committing the theft on Dec. 30, 2012, in the city.
Goodman then revoked Collins’ probation on Oct. 31, 2014, and sentenced him to serve four to 23 months in prison.
