An Ashland man shot at the White House on Friday was still in critical condition Sunday at George Washington University Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Susan Griffiths, marketing manager for the hospital, gave an update on the condition of Jesse Olivieri, 31, at 4:41 p.m. Sunday, but she declined to provide additional information.
Robert Hoback, a Secret Service spokesman, said Sunday he did not have any additional information on Olivieri. The 2003 North Schuylkill High School graduate was shot by the U.S. Secret Service after Olivieri refused to drop a gun at a checkpoint at the White House. Local police were told to refer questions to the U.S. Secret Service.
Police closed a section of Malones Road, Butler Township, near his house Friday. It was reopened Saturday.
