In recent Schuylkill County Court action, Judge James P. Goodman on May 18 accepted guilty pleas from, and, pursuant to agreements between prosecutors and defendants, imposed the indicated sentences on, these people:
Joshua Jimenez, 22, of Tremont; possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; 12 months probation, $100 payment to the Substance Abuse Education Fund and $113 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem.
Evrin D. Kalkan, 31, of Lehighton; fleeing or eluding police and improper turning movements; time served to 12 months in prison with immediate parole and $25 fine. Prosecutors withdrew charges of agricultural vandalism, having more than one driver’s license, careless driving and seat belt violation.
Wayne W. Kechula, 61, of Shenandoah; possession of drug paraphernalia; 12 months probation and $100 SAEF payment. Prosecutors withdrew a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Corey D. Keefer, 27, of Jonestown; possession of drug paraphernalia; six months probation, $100 SAEF payment and $229.60 bench warrant fee.
Richard D. Kennedy, 31, of Tamaqua; driving under suspension; $50 fine. Prosecutors withdrew two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harold P. Kern Jr., 53, of Mahanoy City; driving under the influence; 15 days house arrest with electronic monitoring, 45 days strict supervision, four months probation, $1,000 fine, $300 SAEF payment and 10 hours community service, with sentence effective on June 14. Prosecutors withdrew a charge of speeding.
Clint R. Parks, 50, of Pottsville; criminal trespass; two years probation, $50 bench warrant fee and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.
Paul E. Williams III, 31, of Cogan Station; harassment; $100 fine and $165.45 bench warrant fee. Prosecutors withdrew three additional counts of harassment.
All defendants who were sentenced must pay costs as a part of their sentences.
