In recent Schuylkill County Court action, President Judge William E. Baldwin accepted guilty pleas from, and, pursuant to agreements between prosecutors and defendants, imposed the indicated sentences on, these people:
Noel Abadia, 34, of Lansford; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; time served to 12 months in prison, 11 months consecutive probation, $100 payment to the Substance Abuse Education Fund, $50 payment to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $113 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem. Prosecutors withdrew a second count of possession of a controlled substance and charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of children.
Sean M. Clemens, 23, of Myerstown; two counts each of driving under the influence and possession of a small amount of marijuana; 12 months in the intermediate punishment program, $2,000 in fines, $200 in SAEF payments and $120 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street. Prosecutors withdrew two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one each of improper turning movements, violation of restrictions on alcoholic beverages and improper signal lights.
Jeremy G. Colosimo, 28, of Ashland; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; 12 months probation, $200 in SAEF payments and $100 in CJEA payments. Prosecutors withdrew a second count of possession of drug paraphernalia and charges of tampering with evidence, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Joshua M. Dewire, 26, of Plymouth; three counts of possession of a controlled substance; 18 months probation, $200 in SAEF payments, $100 in CJEA payments, $50 bench warrant fee and $352 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem. Prosecutors withdrew charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
Barbara L. Figueiredo, 36, of Shavertown; five counts of conspiracy and one of possession of drug paraphernalia; 24 months probation, $100 SAEF payment, $200 in CJEA payments, $282.60 in bench warrant fees and $1,691.90 restitution. Prosecutors withdrew two charges of retail theft and one of receiving stolen property.
Robert J. Rhoades, 67, of Shenandoah; two charges of DUI and one each of improper driving without headlights and no rear lights; one to five years in a state correctional institution, $5,050 in fines, $600 in SAEF payments, $100 in CJEA payments, $120 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street and 60 hours community service. Prosecutors withdrew charges of operating vehicle without valid inspection, failure to drive at a safe speed and careless driving.
James P. Weeks Jr., 20, of Hazleton; no contest plea to two counts of harassment and one of possessing instrument of crime; 23 months probation, $200 in fines and $50 CJEA payment. Prosecutors withdrew two counts each of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.
All defendants who were sentenced must pay costs as a part of their sentences.
