at pharmacy
CRESSONA — State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a forgery incident that occurred Jan. 3 at a pharmacy in North Manheim Township.
Police said a black man tried to use forged medications scripts for the drug Oxycodone at 1:15 p.m. at CVS Pharmacy, 212 Pottsville St.

Stop nets test
for Frackville man
ALTAMONT — A Frackville man was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop about 6:56 p.m. Friday on Industrial Road, West Mahanoy Township, police said.
State police at Frackville said David Paul Wolfe, 58, was taken into custody for suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol. He was taken for a blood test at Schuylkill Medical Center.
DUI charges will be filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, following the results of the blood test.
Copper pipes
reported stolen
NEW PHILADELPHIA — Someone stole copper pipes from a borough property, police said.
State police at Frackville said the theft occurred at 53 Water St. between October 2015 and Jan. 30.

Disturbance nets
charge for man
NEW PHILADELPHIA — A New Philadelphia man was charged with disorderly conduct Sunday afternoon following an incident in the 100 block of Furnace Road in Blythe Township, police said.
State police in Frackville allege Joseph R. Gibas, 46, caused the 3:10 p.m. disturbance.
Bad check charge

CRESSONA — An Ashland man allegedly wrote a bad check to a local business, police said.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the Aug. 5, 2015, incident took place at Ken’s Tire Inc., North Manheim Township, when John Joseph O’Donnell, 63, wrote a check to the business that could not be cashed due to insufficient funds. The check was submitted to a bank twice but was not able to be cashed.
Charges were filed in the office of Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg, police said.
Ashland man may
faces DUI charge
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — An Ashland man may face charges of driving under the influence after a traffic stop about 10:16 p.m. Friday on Route 61 near Fountain Springs, police said.
State police at Frackville said Sean Patrick McGee, 43, was taken into custody for suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol. He was taken for a blood test at Schuylkill Medical Center.
DUI charges will be filed with Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, pending the test results, police said.
