Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and Pottsville police are asking for the public’s help in finding who is responsible for a burglary and theft at a city business last month.
Police said the crime occurred between 10 p.m. Jan. 14 and 3 a.m. Jan. 15 at the Pottsville Diner, 271 N. Claude A. Lord Blvd.
Police said James Manaloulas, owner of the business, reported he arrived at the diner about 3 a.m. Jan. 15 and found ceiling tiles down from above the kitchen area of the establishment.
The man also found that padlocked drawers had been broken into and change had been taken from one of the drawers, police said.
Manaloulas said a video game had been broken into but no money was inside at the time to be taken, police said.
Officers said that Manaloulas reported the last employee left the diner after closing at 10 p.m. Jan. 14.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information on the identity of the person responsible for this crime or on any unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.
