Transportation can be challenging if you don’t drive or own a vehicle. Schuylkill Transportation System is “here to help you get there.”
Schuylkill Transportation System was created under the leadership of the Schuylkill County commissioners in 1982. Since then, they have been committed to the task of proving the very finest in public transit services to the residents of Schuylkill County. Services provided by STS include the Fixed Route Bus Program and the Shared Ride Van Program. All vehicles utilized by STS are wheelchair lift equipped.
While the Shared Ride Van Program offers a more specialized form of transportation, the Fixed Route Bus Service is an inexpensive, reliable and available alternative to individuals of any age throughout the county. Most passengers find that public transportation is a low-cost, efficient other way to travel.
If you’re concerned about riding the bus for the first time, someone can escort you on your initial ride to help you feel more comfortable.
For more information regarding the various services that are available, call STS at 800-832-3322 or 570-429-2701. Services can also be found at www.go-sts.com or follow them on Facebook for exciting up to the minute updates and promotions.
