Schuylkill Haven firefighters were called to 75 N. Lake Drive about 5:35 a.m. and found the house almost completely destroyed by fire.

Reed said that he arrived within minutes and by that time the structure was completely ablaze.
“I could see right through it (the building). There was pretty much nothing left,” he said.
Reed said Schuylkill Haven firefighters battled the blaze and a tanker truck was called from Mount Carbon to assist in providing water.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and a state police fire marshal has been called to assist in determining how the blaze started.
“As of right now, it is being undetermined due to the damage to the building,” Reed said.
No firefighter injuries were reported and Reed said no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
The fire was declared under control about 7 a.m., the assistant chief said.
