Police: Man was
noisy at hospital
HARRISBURG — An Elizabethville man was charged with disorderly conduct by state police at Lykens after an incident about 1:55 a.m. Thursday at PinnacleHealth Harrisburg Hospital on South Front Street.
Police said Troy Miller, 37, was making unreasonable noise inside the hospital and was charged after multiple complaints were received about him using vulgar language near people inside.
Miller will have to answer to the charge before a Dauphin County magisterial district judge.
Lykens hit-run
being investigated
LYKENS — State police at Lykens are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred about 12:10 p.m. Feb. 13 in an alley north of North Street in Dauphin County.
Police said a person driving a Dodge Ram was trying to back up in the alley and struck the passenger’s side of a 2008 Kia Sportage, causing moderate damage.
The driver then fled the scene, leaving behind a piece of taillight with a part number that identified it as being from a Dodge Ram pickup truck between the years 1994 and 2001.
Police said the investigation is continuing and, if identified, the truck driver will be charged with accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property.

Sleeping at wheel
results in charge
ELIZABETHVILLE — State police at Lykens investigated a crash that occurred about 5:25 a.m. Saturday on the north side of East Main Street, just south of Park Drive in Dauphin County.
Police said Sean R. Vega, 21, of Williamstown, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am west when he fell asleep, went off the road along a left curve and struck a snow bank at the end of Special Place’s parking lot.
The car then struck a tree and came to a stop in the westbound lane facing southeast, police said.
As a result of the crash, Vega will be charged with careless driving.
