Man faces terror

threat charge

HAMBURG — State police at Hamburg have obtained an arrest warrant for a Kempton man stemming from an incident about 10:50 a.m. Monday at 9395 Kistler Valley Road in Albany Township, Berks County.

Police said Brandon Quinn Glover, 20, approached a man and woman with a kitchen knife and later sent a threatening text message to the woman.

Glover fled the scene and police said they obtained the warrant charging him with terroristic threats and criminal mischief.

Dauphin burglary

WICONISCO — State police at Lykens are investigating a burglary, theft and criminal trespass incident that occurred about 4:05 a.m. Friday at One-Stop Recycling, 1855 Pottsville St. in Wiconisco Township, Dauphin County.

Police said someone forced their way into the main office area of the business and stole about $80 before fleeing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 717-362-8700 and refer to incident H04-2461644.

License plate

theft investigated

GILBERTON — State police at Frackville are investigating a theft that occurred during the overnight hours Sunday or Monday on Main Street.

Police said someone removed a Pennsylvania license plate from the vehicle of a Gilberton woman and fled the scene.

The plate, JDJ-0227, was removed from the vehicle while it was parked at the woman’s home.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-874-5300.

Truck driver cited

in I-81 accident

MOUNT PLEASANT — A crash that occurred about 2:35 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81, at mile marker 114.2 in Foster Township, is being investigated by state police at Frackville.

Police said Carl Pickens III, 25, of Philadelphia, was driving a Western Express tractor-trailer north when he lost control while following a left curve. The truck struck the guide rail along the west berm and damaged about 400 feet of guide rail before overturning onto its driver’s side and coming to a stop facing east along the west embankment.

Police said Pickins will be cited for not driving on roadways laned for traffic as a result of the crash.

GIRARDVILLE — Two people were charged with harassment by state police at Frackville after a domestic incident about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at 146 W. Main St.

Police said Robert J. Barlow and Amber Lee Blickley, who both live at that address, will have to answer before Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville.

Police said they were called to the home for the second time that day, the first being about 9 a.m., and learned the two became involved in another domestic dispute that escalated from verbal to a physical confrontation with both pushing and hitting each other.

prowling incident

ZION GROVE — A burglary and prowling incident that occurred about 3:35 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Hay Stack Drive, the Cove, in North Union Township, is being investigated by state police at Frackville.

Police said they were called for a burglary in progress and learned that two ATVs approached the home of Martin and Allison Koch, one a dark color and the other yellow. Two men walked to the rear of the home and began looking in windows.

One of the men checked a back door to see if it was unlocked but they both fled when the homeowner yelled that police were on the way, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information on this incident or similar incidents to call them at 570-874-5300.
