A Pine Grove man is in Dauphin County Prison charged after he allegedly made threats that caused a lockdown of a campus residence hall at Penn State University, State College.

Penn State officials said police on campus got a call Sunday that Lee Son Yom, 52, in a family dispute, threatened to harm his children, who are students at the university. They live in Hamilton Hall, a 550-student hall on the University Park campus. The school ordered a lockdown of the hall for four hours as they investigated.

Police said Son was arrested in West Hanover Township, Dauphin County. He was charged with three counts of terroristic threats, all felonies; six counts of harassment, three of which are misdemeanors and three summary offenses; and six counts of disorderly conduct, according to documents filed in the office of Magisterial District Judge Lowell A. Witmer, Harrisburg.

Documents show bail was set at $100,000, which Son was unable to post.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 27 in Witmer’s office.
