n Ashland: American Legion Bernard J. Dolan Post 434 will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. March 5 at the post home, Fifth and Centre streets. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The menu includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, ham and sausage, home fries, orange juice, coffee or tea.

n Frackville: The Frackville Pool Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the borough council chambers of the Frackville Municipal & Community Building, Oak and Center streets. Members will discuss ongoing plans, events and fundraisers for a new community swimming pool. The public is welcome and new participants are invited, according to a release.

n Frackville: There will be an open house at the Frackville Museum, located in the Frackville Municipal & Community Center, 42 S. Center St., from 1 to 4 p.m. March 13. Admission is free and visitors, according to a press release, will be able to stroll through Heritage Hall, the Sentimental Journey Room, Boy Scout Room, Research Room and the Jordan Brothers Room. n Mahanoy City: The Mahanoy City Elks Lodge, 135 E. Centre St., will honor Elk of the Year Ronald Blum at 6 p.m. March 12 at the lodge. The event will include a cash bar, dinner and program followed by dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. with entertainment by disc jockey Steve Saive. n Pottsville: AMVETS Post 180 will have a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the post home, 1300 Seneca St. The cost is $8.50 per platter, which also includes roll, salad and dessert. For more information, call 570-266-3937.

n Pottsville: The Nativity BVM High School Green and Gold Booster Club will sponsor a “Luck of the Irish” bingo from 1 to 4 p.m. March 6 at the school, One Lawtons Hill. Tickets are $20 each. The cash bingo will include 15 regular games and four specials plus a jackpot. Additionally, 50/50s will be available, as will homemade food. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome. n Schuylkill Haven: Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 252 Dock St., will hold its second organ concert of this season at 3 p.m. March 6 at the church, featuring organist Michael Krentz playing the 32 rank Schantz pipe organ. Krentz is a lecturer and director of music ministries/seminary cantor at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, and an associate in ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The third concert will take place on May 1 featuring organist Michael Ball. The concerts are free and open to the public. Free-will offerings will be accepted. A reception for Krentz will follow the concert. The church is acceptable to the handicapped and ample parking is available in a large lot adjacent to the church.

n Shenandoah: A basket auction to benefit the Shenandoah sesquicentennial celebration will be held March 6 in Divine Mercy Roman Catholic Parish’s St. Stephen Hall, Main and Oak streets. Doors will open at noon and the auction will begin at 2 p.m. There will be a shop-and-drop from 1 to 4 p.m. March 5. The hall is accessible to the handicapped. Tickets are $10 each and include first 25 tickets and light refreshments. Food and baked goods will also be on sale. All are welcome to attend. n Shenandoah: Registration for the Shenandoah Area Girls Softball League for the spring/summer season will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Anthony P.
