ORWIGSBURG — The owner of a landscaping business in West Brunswick Township was wondering Monday how his building was damaged last week.
Season’s Art, 1363 Route 61 North, has two windows that were shattered Wednesday.
Linda Palao, who co-owns the building with Tim Hill, the owner of Season’s Art, lives at the building and said she left at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday only to return shortly after 5 p.m. to notice the broken glass along with Tim Hill, owner of the business. She called state police at Schuylkill Haven about the damage. A trooper responded and took the information. According to Palao, the trooper said the incident was an act of criminal mischief.
The police report filed with the state police at Schuylkill Haven said the act of criminal mischief occurred between 2:30 and 5 p.m. after someone damaged a front and side window of the building. Glass was visible on the ground in the front of the building.
Palao said a similar incident occurred three years ago when an act of criminal mischief took place. She did not know if those responsible were caught.
Hill said Monday windows had been ordered and the glass will likely be cleaned up today. He went outside during the storm Wednesday and noticed the broken windows. His first thought was, “Again.” He said the windows were damaged about three years ago when someone was using a pellet gun and damaging the business and others. He does not know how much it will cost to replace each of the two double-paned windows because there is no estimate yet. It will take about two to three weeks to get the windows in. He said the location of the building close to the highway makes it an easy target.
“It could have been rocks,” he said, adding he does not know what caused the damage.
Hill asked those with information to call him at 570-617-2200.
